Gpx Pro Jacket 2.0 Review
The first thing I noticed when the GPX Pro Jacket arrived is that this would not work for mountain biking. The jacket is made from a durable heavyweight fabric that looks and feels great but is too stiff and it’s a baggy fit that would make it unsuitable for mountain biking. This was disappointing as it does recommend using this jacket for mountain biking in their description. So I have decided to review this jacket more of a to and from the trails coat.
As mentioned above the RVRC Jacket is made from a durable fabric which I reckon if looked after would last a lifetime. It also features a second fabric that is flexible and breathable making this a very comfy coat to wear around town, to and from the trails, or even hiking.
Another nice feature is that it’s loaded with pockets and big pockets at that. So you have plenty of space to store your snacks, dog leads, and anything else you would need on an outdoor adventure. The hood is plenty big enough and allows ample room for hats or a helmet if required.
I’ve been using the jacket for about a month now and it still looks good. It keeps me warm without making me sweaty but it is a heavy coat so I avoid wearing it on warmer days.
The Revolution Race Gpx Pro 2.0 Jacket is water-resistant but whilst climbing Pen Y Fan in wales we were caught out in a rainstorm and the jacket didn’t keep me dry for long. However, to be fair to Revolution Race, they do not say this jacket will keep you dry in a storm, they have other products for that.
So in summary, the Revolution Race GPX Pro 2.0 Men’s Jacket is a great heavyweight durable jacket that is nice and breathable. The jacket is water repellant but only in small showers. Revolution Race claims the jacket is suitable for mountain biking but we would argue it is too heavy and thick but it certainly is suitable for wearing to and from the trails, especially on a cold day.
