The Narwheel Thru Axle Wheel Holder

Lindarets’ Narwheel Thru-Axle Mount was made to securely hold thru axle front wheels in our workshop and while seeking out new trails in our campervan- but it works every bit as well in workshops, retail spaces, and demo trailers.

The Narwheel is CNC machined from 6061 aluminium and features a stepped stub axle and wingnut that will accommodate several sizes of front and/or rear hubs (see compatibility list)

The axle is mounted at a slight angle to allow some overlap with narrower tires yet keeps even 27.5 x 3.0in knobbies from contacting the mounting surface.  The three-inch, four-bolt square base plate can be mounted to walls or posts (you supply appropriate hardware) at any orientation that works for you.

Please use your best judgement when mounting!  We can’t control or evaluate the surface you choose to mount these to or the suitability of the hardware you select, so take care when mounting in vehicles or where a falling wheel might injure someone.  The Narwheel is not designed for outdoor or exterior vehicle use.

TERSKE ULTRALIGHT FRAME BOSS PUMP HOLDERS

That’s right: if all else fails, a pump should be able to get you home.  Heck, nowadays there are even pumps with tool kits and storage space built into their handles, which makes them that much handier.

That’s what these are for: holding a pump (or tent poles or a similarly-sized cylindrical object) to your frame.  The laser-sintered bases bolt to your frame bosses and the silicone-backed cinch strap holds your pump in place.  Because pumping beats hitchhiking every time.

TRAVEL 6/8/16MM HEX TOOL FOR CINCH CRANKSETS

Every once in a while we find ourselves on the trail or away from home needing a tool that’s really, really hard to fake. Say, for example, the 16mm hex key needed for the non-drive side fixing bolt and self-extraction caps on RaceFace and Easton Cinch cranks.

And that’s precisely what this is for.

It works with a 12mm thru-axle (not included) and fixes a problem that doesn’t come about often but can ruin your day if it does. Consider it part of your extended travel tool kit and toss it in your ‘big day’ bag, flight case, or the tool wrap that lives in your trunk.

We added deep 6mm and 8mm hexes to the tool to easily tighten external-bearing cranks. Those are common pedal hex sizes too, which makes reassembling a bike in a foreign hotel that much easier than with a pocket-sized tool (pedals should be tightened to 36-40Nm).

Every once in a while we find ourselves on the trail or away from home needing a tool that’s really, really hard to fake. Say, for example, a 16-notch tool to tighten external Center Lock and AFS disc brake rotor lockrings.

And that’s exactly what this is for.

It works with a 12mm thru-axle (a rear will give you the most leverage but a front will work too) and fixes a problem that doesn’t come about often but can ruin your day if it does. Consider it part of your extended travel tool kit and toss it in your ‘big day’ bag, flight case, or the tool wrap that lives in your trunk.

This tool was designed with air travel in mind, when it’s all too easy to leave rotors on wheels and spend your vacation listening to your rubbing brakes and generally kicking yourself for skipping the simple step of removing those rotors.

Why choose one colour when you can ride the rainbow?

Traben’s custom titanium headset spacers are anodized in an oil slick style gold-green-blue-purple fade.  The scalloped design looks great, saves weight (they weigh just over 0.5g per mm), and helps to mask seams between spacers.

Sold in sets, our Ti-Dye spacers include one 5mm, one 10mm, and one 15mm spacer for a total of 30mm of amazing space.

Have you ever had too much bolt?

It seems that some designers don’t take hardware height into account when designing their water bottle cages.  Having bolt heads protrude into the cage makes for more difficult bottle insertion and removal, mars bottles, and can remove the finish from the bolts themselves.  This is why we designed and machined our own Ultra-Low Profile Bottle Cage Bolts from strong, corrosion-resistant Grade 5 titanium (Ti6Al4V).

But it turns out that they look pretty great filling unused bosses too!  With heads that sit only 1.75mm above the boss, our Ultra-Low Profile bolts look clean on unused bosses and minimize interference with bags or cables.

Not only are they attractive and functional, our Ultra-Low Profile Bottle Cage Bolts weigh 1.2g each or 5g for a set of four.  That’s pretty darn light.

A note of caution: These bolts won’t be for everyone.  In order to achieve such a low head while maintaining bolt strength, these bolts use a 2.5mm hex.  That means that care must be taken and the following are required for installation:

• High-quality 2.5mm hex bit in good condition
• Copper anti-seize compound or dielectric grease
• Torque wrench set no higher than 2-3Nm
• M5x12-Set of 4

In addition, it is wise to remove and re-grease the bolts annually to prevent seizing.  Re-grease more often if you sweat heavily, have leaky bottles of electrolyte drink, or ride on salted roads (or near the sea).
