In this review, we will discuss the bike’s performance, durability, versatility, and the reasons why it’s considered a “new breed of hardtail.”

Berm Cycles has created an exceptional mountain bike in the Berm Rexx Ti Hardtail. This bike’s design provides superior performance on the trails thanks to its lightweight and durable titanium frame, and versatile design.

Performance

The frame is both lightweight and durable, making it the perfect investment for serious riders. The frame’s design provides excellent handling without fatigue, allowing you to tackle any terrain with ease. The frame’s geometry enables the rider to push their riding limits and ride above the expectations of what is achievable on a hardtail.

I have personally tested this bike on everything from XC single track to steep and gnarly downhill tracks in all weather conditions from slippery mud to fast and loose dusty trails. The feedback from the frame is excellent, and it allows for incredible handling without feeling every single vibration. The frame’s stiffness allows for excellent power transfer, making it the perfect bike for technical descents and steep climbs.

Note that this review is for the frame only. If interested the Berm Rexx Ti Hardtail frame was built using top-of-the-line components* (*available for purchase separately and not available from Berm Cycles directly). The components used in the bike’s design include the Fox Factory 34 suspension fork, Shimano XTR groupset, DT Swiss XMC carbon wheels, and Hutchinson Griffus tires. The frame’s design is optimized for speed and agility, making it perfect for technical descents and steep climbs.

Durability

The Berm Rexx Ti Hardtail has a titanium frame that is both strong and lightweight, making durability one of it’s biggest selling points. I can attest to the quality of the build with attention to detail around areas that may see increased wear from general use, the flexibility of the internal routing and cable mount points as well as the beautiful welds across the frame.

I must also focus on the frame finish with a nice natural matte finish with the titanium exposed in all it’s glory. The extra details around the seat clamp and logo, are subtle but stunning. Did I mention that I really love this bike?

Versatility

One thing that sets the Berm Rexx Ti Hardtail apart from the competition is its versatility. The bike is perfect for riders of all levels, from seasoned pros to beginners. Its design is optimized for speed and agility, making it ideal for technical descents and steep climbs, but it is still super performant on single track and for those that aren’t looking to risk life and limb on gnarlier trails. The bike’s geometry provides a comfortable and efficient riding position, and the frame’s stiffness allows for excellent power transfer.

The bike, as expected, being a hardtail, also climbs very nicely. You can efficiently get back to the top of trails in no time.

“A New Breed of Hardtail”

Berm Cycles calls the Berm Rexx Ti Hardtail “a new breed of hardtail,” and it’s easy to see why. The bike is built to handle anything you can throw at it, from rocky trails to steep climbs. The bike’s well-thought-out geometry provides excellent stability and control, even on the most technical terrain.

Conclusion

The Berm Rexx Ti Hardtail is an exceptional mountain bike that delivers on its promises. It’s well-thought-out geometry and durable titanium frame make it a reliable investment for serious riders. The bike’s performance and versatility ensure that it will exceed your expectations on the trails. It not only rides well, but it looks stunning. The simple aesthetic means you can customize it with your color scheme and choice of components to really make it your own. For me, I chose a Red/Pink accent, Kashima gold for the seat post and forks (courtesy of Fox), and black everywhere else. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, the Berm Rexx Ti Hardtail is the perfect mountain bike for you.
