We try out the Trail Collar with our very own trail dog and chief doggy product tester Oliver, a 1-year-old Springador. How does this dog collar hold up when out on adventures?
”An excellent dog collar that not only looks great but is really well made and features lots of extra details such as reflective piping, a super comfortable neoprene lining, a D Ring and tag holder. This collar offers everything you need for an adventure lifestyle with your trail dog.

Trail Collar Review
To test the Bark + Ride Trail Dog Collar we had to get some help from our hairiest and most excitable reviewer Oliver the Springador. If anyone can put this collar through its paces Oliver is the guy.
So Ollie is a 1.5-year-old Springador (Half Labrador half Springer Spaniel). He is a medium-sized dog that is full of energy and loves nothing more than run-down trails in front of you running or riding.
We measured Ollie’s neck and found that he is actually at the very top end of Medium and the very bottom end of Large according to the Bark + Ride website. Thankfully Kaz was kind enough to send out both sizes for us to try. We quickly found that the large was too large and the medium just fits at the biggest adjustment so we decided to go with Medium. There is still lot’s of freedom of movement and it’s not tight on his neck or bothering him at all but would be nice to be just 1cm larger in this particular instance. Every dog is going to be different so I can’t see this being an issue for 99% of dogs.
The first thing I noticed is that this collar is really nicely made. It’s made from great materials that make it very durable but also looks really smart. This collar is clearly going to last a long time. The D Ring makes it really easy to attach a leash and the ID Tag mount is also great.
We have test fitted two of the most popular activity trackers to check if they fit. They do with no issues. The trackers we have tested are the Pitpat and Tractive GPS tracker. We will be comparing these two in a later article and we also are doing reviews on each.
We are really impressed with the quality of the collar and it is leagues ahead of standard dog collars you can buy in petshops especially when your life revolves around adventure you need something a bit more durable but by no means does that mean it affects aesthetics. This collar works great whether out in the mountains or pootling around your home town.
