JASPER JAUNCH SHREDS TRAILS WITH HIS DOG OREO.

First up is a video we have featured before and that is Jasper Jauch and his trail dog Oreo.

In this video Mountain Biker Jasper Jaunch shreds trails with his trail dog companion Oreo. Who doesn’t love watching videos of trail dogs? I’m certainly hooked and can’t wait for my pup to be old enough to join me on the trails.

Kelly McGarry – Grip It and Whippet

Anyone lucky enough to interact with Kelly McGarry was instantly struck by his good natured personality and ability to make you feel like an old friend within minutes of meeting him. We at ODI were fortunate to have been able to work with Kelly over the past few years and were ecstatic when Kelly approached us about doing an edit with his beloved dog Tui. After his tragic passing we were torn on what to do with this footage. Upon consulting those closest to him we decided that it was best to release this edit both as a fitting tribute to a great person and as a reminder to enjoy the ride of life.

For those who have been inspired by Kelly or would like to help continue to support his passion for mountain biking, we would encourage you to visit and contribute to one of the following Trusts that were set-up in Kelly’s honor.

Ruby is a 4-year-old Hungarian Vizsla. She’s been riding trails with Tom since she was a puppy, and she’s definitely faster than you are.

With a trail dog by your side you always have a riding partner who is ready to go, can bomb jumps, take the perfect inside line, stay right on your wheel, and do it time after time.

A mountain bikers best friend.

Addie The Dusty DH Dog

Addie is a dog from Colorado that loves the bike park!

Bryan and Kaia

We set out on a brisk, winter day to shoot this before heading back to school for the semester. Bryan’s dog, Kaia, accompanied us and this was the result.

Third Wheel

Deep in the woods of Vermont’s Green Mountains, mountain bikers escape to some of New England’s most pristine singletrack. The thick forests provide a refuge for those seeking adventure. Rider Adam Morse and his dog, Flow, revel in the solitude and transform the green tunnel into a private playground.

Nicolas “Têtard” Ortiz is still a fast french DH racer. After a long career as a racer (2002 French Cup overall winner, several World Cup top 30), he won’t stop riding. Every day, he trains his DH, enduro and MX skills with his dog “Heaven” who goes as fast as him. The collusion of these two massive racers is incredible! Watch them riding their DH trails near Apt in the south of France.

PNW Components: Capturing the Elusive Canine Trailus on Camera

Deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest lives an animal so rare that it is admired above all others. Once kinsmen to the great wolf packs of the Cascade Mountains these creatures have altered the future of their species forever by entering a symbiotic relationship with a sub-species of humans known commonly as the Homosapien Mountain-Bikus. The beloved animal of which we speak is scientifically labelled as the Canine Trailus, or less officially as, the Trail Dog.

Paws & Wheels

Oli and I have been working on a couple of projects together and one day he said: “Hey, let’s do a trail dog video with my dog Balu!”

Balu is super sweet but young and wild and kinda crazy. And since this is a passion project, there was no budget to pay helpers. So it was only me and Oli, 50 pounds of equipment and some long trails to cover.

Also, we both didn’t know how Balu would perform and if we would be able to get the shoot done at all.

But surprisingly, everything worked out just perfect. Balu is such a natural and Oli is always a huge pleasure to work with.

We hope you enjoy our little story.
